Nicole has an impressive resume when it comes to all things related to the human body – she is a massage therapist (MT), an RYT-500, has extensive chiropractic training, and has a BS in therapeutic recreation. She was already deep into learning anatomy and physiology, and fascinated by the workings of the body, when she took her first yoga class. Initially, Nicole had no interest in yoga, but after she started practicing regularly, she noticed changes in her body and mind. She was more limber, she felt a little lighter in spirit, and she became fascinated by the mind and body connection. She wanted more; she wanted to dig deeper.

Nicole hasn’t stopped digging, and now, the self-proclaimed lifelong learner relies on her extensive knowledge, maturity, and life lessons to guide Alchemy Hot Yoga students to be their best both physically and emotionally. Nicole discovered firsthand the intimate connection between yogic philosophy and mental health when she turned to yoga to help cope with postpartum depression, and it is from this place of healing that she leads her classes.

There are many ways of communicating with the body, including voice, touch, song, sound, movement, and Nicole incorporates these into each class knowing that there is at least one that will "speak" to any student. (Find out how she incorporates all of these, along with sound therapy, into her Yin & Singing Bowls class at Alchemy Hot Yoga.)

Nicole lives a fulfilling life, and says, “it has been a good book with incredible, colorful chapters.” She is married and calls her husband, Stephan, her best friend. They have two young children that keep her very busy and very happy. Nicole teaches at Alchemy Hot Yoga and is the founder and owner of That’s Yoga where she offers personal and group yoga instruction.

“I feel my intention or mission as a yoga teacher is to bring an example of living my life with authenticity, with purpose, questioning, and surrendering.” Nicole says these are all examples of how she chooses to live her life, and she hopes this shines through to whoever is watching.
